Each year since 2006, Sundress Publications has produced its Best of the Net (BOTN) anthology. Literary journals and writers are able to submit nominations for the BOTN awards in categories of poetry, short stories, creative nonfiction, and art.This year’s Best of the Net nominees, submitted in September, are for stories published between July 1, 2020, and June 30, 2021.
Journals are allowed two submissions in each category; since Hippocampus Magazine publish exclusively nonfiction, we’re able to submit two. We selected one piece from our flash submissions and one piece from our essay/memoir submissions:
