At Hippocampus Magazine,we love staying in touch with our contributors, our Hippocampus family! We love hearing about and sharing the continued achievements of these writers, as well as our staff members and past conference speakers. Each month, or as often as we have enough updates to create post, we like to share their good news!

These were updates we received between the release of our January/February issue release and March 1.

Ed Doerr
Released his first chapbook of poetry; Sautéing Spinach With My Aunt is available now from Desert Willow Press.

Patricia M Dwyer
Narratively published her essay, “Confessions of a Lesbian Ex-Nun” Nov. 19, 2018.

Linda Keyes
Had an essay published in The Common Jan. 2, 2019.

Evelyn Krieger
Her essay, “Geometry of Grief,” was runner-up on the WOW-Women On Writing Quarter 1 2018 Essay Contest. Her essay “Losing My Words,” won second place. in Memoir Magazine’s 2018 Recovery Contest.

Lisa C Romeo
Lisa will teach a day-long workshop on Writing Memoir and the Gift of Incomplete Memories on April 13 at Manhattan’s Open Center.

Robert Rubino
Poetry published online in The Esthetic Apostle, Sept. and Dec 2018, also flash fiction in Esthetic Apostle in Nov 2018 and Jan. 2019.

Terri Steel
Had a new travel article in National Geographic Magazine.

Rae Theodore
Rae’s story “Scrimshaw” will appear in Nonbinary: Memoirs of Gender and Identity from by Columbia University Press and is slated for release on April 9, 2019.

Kami Westhoff
Was part of a collaborative poetry chapbook, Your Body a Bullet, published by Unsolicited Press.

Terri Steel
Had a new travel article in National Geographic Magazine.
